Sažetak

Autori u članku analiziraju zločine počinjene nad zatočenicama u Omarskoj u cjelokupnom periodu postojanja logora od konca maja do augusta 1992. godine.

Abstract

The authors analyze the crimes committed against female detainees in the Omarska camp throughout its existence, from late May to August 1992. The detainees were subjected to various forms of torture, including rape and sexual abuse. Many of the surviving women have testified multiple times before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These testimonies form the key primary sources of this article, which focuses on the conditions in the camp, the crimes witnessed by the detainees, and the sexual violence they endured. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the scholarly understanding of the crimes committed in Prijedor, particularly in Omarska, and to provide a framework for future research and analysis of sexual violence perpetrated in other locations and contexts.
